I have stayed here and I can't say enough about it. Some may think that NOLA is a wild and crazy city and sometimes it might appear to be but they have no idea of what is across the river. They haven't stayed on the other side. It's a whole other world. As senior citizens, we appreciated the homey feeling of this location. A neighborhood that is a very short ferry ride across the Mississippi River. The accommodations at this address are everything you could need and want. Clean, beautifully furnished rooms, all appliances that you would expect to find in a home.. Not one thing that was lacking. There were only two of us but with three levels of living space, lots more room for a family or for more than two people. The view of the city from the penthouse is spectacular, especially at night. One of our stays was during Navy Week. We watched the closing fireworks ceremony from the penthouse deck. Best view ever! The owner of the property was available to us if we had any questions or problems (although we had no problems). Would definitely love to stay there again.
Reviews
My wife and I lived here for 6 years. We would still be there if life didn't get in the way... The condo was awesome in every way. The location was perfect. We never got tired of our river view. The amenities were all top of the line. The layout of the courtyard allowed for wonderful gatherings with friends and neighbors, (and all of our neighbors became our friends). Crawfish boils, shrimp boils, steaks, birthday cakes etc. It seemed that being there brought out the free spirit in us and everyone around us. What truly great times, and all because of the wonderful living quarters in such a perfect location. We left there 3 years ago, but the positve memories we have will be with us forever. We walked to the Superdome for football, concerts or other events. We walked to Bourbon street (and crawled back) for whatever craziness it always had to offer, (Mardi Gras for example). We got to know so many wonderful people in Algiers Point, heck we even talked to Linda Hamilton (the actress who lived right up the street) on occasion. I must also mention our relationship with the landlord Robert (and Lisa too). We became friends and will always be friends. They were always there to help us in any way. (The condo was completely hastle free, the help they gave was more on a personal level) Again, all of these wonderful memories were made possible by our decision to rent a condo in a place we had never been to. It ended up being one of the best decisions of our lives. We truly lived in heaven.
