November and March bring "Concerts in the Park" which showcase such music as Jazz, Country, Big Band and Contemporary. The designated scenic highway is the first part of a day trip to nearby Grand Canyon.

To the South near Tucson (2 hour drive) is the real Old West and Tombstone, the site of the real-life "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" and where countless Hollywood movies have been filmed.
